wicked style

 photo 003-1.jpg

The next two weeks are about costuming an evil, yet fabulous, enchantress.  With the wind at my back I shall make:

one sparkly dress
one short jacket with an enormous collar
one flared hem skirt (whatever that means)
one long skirt
one faux fur trimmed caplet
one shrug... maybe
one bustle
one long jacket with ruffled back
one cape, bad guy style

I have a couple of garments that I can alter for some of the pieces but basically I am making them up as I go.

Wish me luck.

  3. Are you sewing these for the short among us? There is a lovely shrug pattern that you can find in a book called Sewing Clothes Kids Love (library). Also, to make a flared hem skirt, just chop up your usual A-line where you want the flare to begin and use the a-line top and a half circle for the bottom half (or however full you want your flare). You can do this - you're an improv genius.
