Ha.
Smootch figures I'm pretty much useless on the fish acquisition front and decided to take matters in her own hands. With an inspiration from a craft project from volume three of this beautiful book set
As soon as I saw what Smootch was building, I just knew it needed little plastic (paper) castle. She rejected my suggestion, even after I offered to make the castle.
Smootch says, This is my fish bowl, mom, back off.
But I, like Birdie, have a hard time leaving things alone.
So, with another bit of knick-knackery (there is so much here), some paper, markers, pipe cleaners, dental floss and tape, I made my own fish bowl.
With a little plastic (paper) castle. Thank you very much.
I think you have just made blog of the lifetime for me...craft and Ani DiFranco in one post it just does. not. get. better. then. this. *happy sigh*
ReplyDeleteHey that is such a cute craft project! I've been wanting some fish also but not the maintenance. I'm going to make my own maintenance-free fish bowl too.
ReplyDeleteAhhh..you're a nice mom!
ReplyDeleteHow clever is she?!
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful! my daughter has been asking for a fish too - I will have to show her this.
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful! And no cleaning of the fish bowl!
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteI concur with Mrs Frankenstein on the craft/Ani combo. Both your fish bowls are lovely. How clever is your Smootch??!?!
